Free: Microvitec 1438

Microvitec 1438 14" multisync monitor. Syncs down to 15KHz so you can display Amiga native chipset modes directly without the need for a scandoubler.

Free to a good home, you collect or pay postage. UK P&P is about £15.

@blade2002: I think it's too big to send by normal airmail so it would have to be DHL or something. I guess it would be expensive.

DDNI can pick it up locally so he gets first refusal.

I've got a 1438s here in London, that someone can have free. It does have a small problem: the red is intermittent, sometimes there somtimes not. Probably easy to fix, it has been this way for a few years now. Not worth mailing, someone can collect it if they want it.

I would want either one, however, I'm in Manc and my GF is the one with the money to mail it. If anyone happens to have one and live IN Mac I'll happily help you get rid of it :look

Considering LCD monitors with TV and VGA inputs are going for around $300 at JB HiFi today, why would you even bother?

I've got a 1942 that must have some value as a collector's item (considering they were as rare as hen's teeth here, even before C= AU went bust), but compared to a 15" LG LCD monitor, it's crap!

Hey???... you mean an LG LCD from JB HiFi will do the trick ??.. will that also stop the flicker in interlace as well ???. If so, what model ?

I guess the price puts most people off.. $300 for an LCD to run on the Amiga, when you can find some other Amiga monitors for about $50 - 100.

I assume you are using the composite video input, or can you use a VGA adapter (and will it handle the 15kHz modes)

Well, if you can find an LG product in JB....

HN sell LG monitors with TV tuners built-in, along with a composite video input. They handle the 15kHz modes AOK - but be sure to get one with the built-in tuner.

Yeah, but do they handle 15kHz signals only from composite input, or from VGA input as well?
