Cool Biggest/Best Game For You.....

Which game sticks in your mind as the best gaming that you had on an Amiga 500.

The one for me was Dungeon Master, many hours were spent on this, making maps as I went through those 14 levels of dungeons.

One of the best, if not the best game to be released on the 500.

Dungeon Master II in later years was just a shadow of this, it should of been a whole lot better, but it was`nt.

Do you know I think I may play it again, I still have it sitting on my shelf above my computer.

The Dungeon Master II that I refer to is not Chaos Strikes Back.

DM II came after CSB.

Anybody know a good DM site, there used to be one but it shut down.

Should be Eye of the Beholder 2 for me but I'd say Frontier: elite if I had played it much. I spent a good amount of time with Ishar 3 too.

not really sure... i think it had to be either: Championship Manager, Sensible Soccer(s) or The Settlers. they took up most of my time! as for the ones which stood out as the biggest i suppose Cannon Fodder (s) and Alien Breed (s) should also get a mention...

I never had an A500, but on my A600 I played Benefactor and KQ1 (remake) the most at the time.

Why 500? Because that is the question that I asked.

What was the best the biggest/best for you on the Amiga 500?

I think loads of the 500 games where better than the 1200 ones, for gameplay anyway..........

Ishar was OK, but they all seemed the same to me, just tweaks and graphics enhancements and different story lines.

Wink

If we include 2-player games, then I'd vote for Speedball 2!
Easily the best Bitmap Bros. game.

You mean Term? If I recall, it did have a lovely interface, but it was a bit of a memory hog and really hogged a lot of resources. But I did appreciate its tidy interface and the wealth of features. I just found NComm to be the perfect medium with lots of features, but staying happily low key. Especially after years of JRComm!

Apologies for the OT...

The Chaos Engine is the best Bitmap Brothers game IMO , but Speedball 2 comes close in 2nd

What was the last game from Bitmap Brothers BEFORE The Chaos Engine 2?

To the best of my knowledge, it was The Chaos Engine, in 1993. Then nothing Amiga for 3 years, until CE2 in 1996. :hoo

(Too busy writing 'Z' for PC I bet).

Perhaps one of our resident Bitmaps experts can confirm.

Those Bitmaps didn't exactly rush stuff out, did they?

Yeah.. The Chaos Engine itself took a long time to be published.

I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing any Bitmap Brothers games (It just came to mind that between Chaos Engine and Chaos Engine 2 I didn't have any games from them, so I thougth I had missed a game)
