basicaly yes, you mount the hd file and then using dopus you can zip everything into system.zip.
Its well documented on the website. Or you can mount the hdf file then copy the contents over to your amiga hardrive. |

LOL, why did you post that in the REALLY old development thread from 2002!
Actually, it was nice to see that blast from the past so perhaps I should be thanking you. Wow, that brought back memories. I've moved this to its own thread, and as DoogUK points out, it's all on the website instructions or how he described. |

Actually Fingerlickin_B, I read what you'd wrote before and that's how it used to install - from a pre-made zip file I provided - and could be run on a pre-install Amiga hard drive (as mentioned in the instructions). It still can and the advice is there on the webpage under "Real Amiga Install", but you have to make the zip yourself these days.
There were various reasons I went to HDF, and I will continue to only provide HDFs for download for those reasons. It really is easy to create the System.zip file yourself, although I'll admit it's slightly harder for those without or unfamiliar with WinUAE. |

Yeah guys, I actaully downloaded a newer version last night & found there was a HDF instead...that made it super-easy to create a "ready to install 3.1" HDD by simply dumping the contents within UAE onto a pre-formatted drive.
Not sure if that's how you instruct people to do it Bloodwych, I didn't read the instructions, just did what seemed obvious Thanks yet again for the excellent pre-installs! PZ. |

Thats what i do fingerz, i also have a copy of the system.zip on a different partition on my hard drive so if anything goes wrong i can boot with a WB disk, format the boot partition and copy system zip back and re-install ClassicWb.....a lot less time involved.
