Digital over Analogue connection so better picture quality (assuming you use DVI/HDMI)

You can use extra screen modes like HighGrafx (1024x768) or HD720 (1280x720) which are very nice for larger panels.

The original core supports SuperPlus (800x600) but I believe there is also a work around on the new core via the config tool, I've not messed with that though.

800x600 is the best performance vs size option (IMHO) as it's still quite quick and does not use up too much chip Ram at the same time being a decent viewing area.

The larger modes can be a little slow and use a lot of Chip Ram especially at high colours and with back drops, bare in mind the Indivision isn't a graphics card so your A1200 is still doing all the work.

The only real benefit of Scart is it's totally plug and play, no need to mess with config tools, just plug in and play. Note some older TV's don't de interlace so the interlaced modes might still flicker via Scart, of course the Indivision is also a flicker fixer so this will be solved with the Indi.

cheers steve

im currently using a 32" lcd via scart, but i want to use my 20", but the scart display is intermittent, so therefore im considering the indi mk2, most of my work stuff that i do on pc, can be done on my a1200 which i would prefer to use and puttin a 32"tv on my desk is a no no lol

The Indi MkII should serve you well in this case but will probably need some tinkering with the config tool, there aere a lot of posts here and peeps have even shared their own settings so you should be fine with a bit of research.

Since I've used the MkII I wouldn't go back to Scart or even a MkI, the difference between Scart or even Analogue VGA and HDMI is night and day!

Some people have mentioned a lack of 50hz or VSync being a problem for them, this don't mean much to me and I guess it just effects scrolling Games like Jim Power but I play these on my A500+ w/ACA500 which is hooked up to a CRT TV anyway. I do productivity stuff on my A1200 and emulation where the extra screen space is more important to me.
