A3000 coin cell battery discharging quickly

I replaced the battery in an A3000 with a coincell adapter bought from Amikit.
I thought one battery should last a year or so, bu instead it gets drained in a matter of a few days/weeks.
Is there anything I overlooked, anything that could have gone wrong here?
