RADManager
My new tool for classic Amiga: RADManager 1.0
This is the RAD disk management tool. Main features of RADManager: - collects and displays detailed information about already installed RAD disks - allows you to create new RADs and delete existing ones - can build and save a mountlist from existing RAD disks - use the locale (built-in English version + Polish locale added) - transparent (I think) GUI based on gadtools and system settings The program is on Aminet: http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/RADManager Available in the full version under the giftware license Some screens: Main window Creating new RAD Details of RAD Saving mountlist |

I found this tool a few days ago and I was wondering if it would be possible to add RADs for DiskSpare (Diskspr3.lha on Aminet) and/or CrossDOS. And if possible to have DD and HD disks for both.

Tested on OS 3.9 RTG and works perfectly, see screenshot Tested also on AROS 68k, it works well the management of RAD Disks mounted through Mountlist, if you try to create a RAD Disk with RADManager AROS 68k crashes, I enclose also screenshots of AROS 68k. I used the wrong word, English is not my native language.
I meant "easy" or "lucid". Quote:

I have never tested an Aros, and I don't know what the cause may be. Maybe some differences in how the mount command works? |

In the meantime I want to specify that I'm not talking about AROS x86 but about AROS 68k.
AROS 68k is based OS 3.1 and is compatible with a lot of Amiga OS3 software. The error shown in the scrennshot I get it if I use "ramdrive.device" native AROS 68k, if I use "ramdrive.device" I get a different error. Mount with RAD0, RAD1 etc.. Standard Floppy 880k works well, it doesn't work only with other formats. Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 25 September 2020 at 17:45. |

As for DiskSpare, there are two packages available on Aminet which have DosDrivers for compatible RAD disks for it. They are called RDS.lha (has a DD version) and RDS_update.lha (has a HD version). So maybe that can help and does make the use of absram obsolete. I currently can't test those DosDrivers myself because I'm not at home.
