Of course. It's amazing that it's finally seen the light of day. I didn't say it wasn't as good as rainbow islands. It's still a suprisingly good game despite being a bit of a rainbow islands rip-off. I've still not managed to get past the first boss though on stage 3 of world 1. Damn, that game is tough!

I am appalled....

At Oceans lack of vision!

The attention to detail in the later levels is staggering. Everything from the Coin-Op is there, it is a hard game, but, shit, why the FUCK didn't Ocean release this game?

I would have been gutted if I made the conversion as good as it is and then to have it cancelled.

I just know that Snow Bros will be as good.

Someone mentioned why its such a small screen.

Well, this is part is a fallback of the Atari ST, and also because they are chucking a hell of a lot of stuff onscreen. The smaller the screen, the more DMA time for custom chips. The same thing applies to Shadow of the Beast, if they made that full screen, it most likely would not have been 50 frames per second.

I still cannot believe that Ocean didn't release this game. Sad, Sad, Sad. As for someone mentioning that Ocean were in financial difficulties, not so.

If Ocean had bought an extra 2% of Infogrammes, then the company would have still been Ocean.

Glad its seen the light of day now, but this game REALLY should have been released.... some of the touches in the game are nicely done.

Roll eyes (sarcastic)

It seems strange more than anything. I seem to recall that due to a combination of ownership changes & length of time,(Microprose take over of Firebird label), that Gaftgold's Rainbow Islands conversion could've easily had been in the same boat.

Was there a timeframe issue,(that the conversion had to be finished by),I wonder, or was it a market issue? When you look at some of the crud like Terminator 2 or the WWF games that Ocean were quite happy to release, it seems hard to justify their logic.

Ah, thanks. Good explanation.

Level 5 Graphics bugs

.... all fixed

Infinite lives now work, just got to work out a sensible Level skipper as although I can get it to display the 'Goal In!' text, there is obviously some byte/bit set to tell the game when you actually get to the exit doors.

Keyboard routine now works.... sort of!

Blitter related, if you set caches on o3o, then it bombs out as well. That will be sorted.

Apologies for those that were expecting it to be a really quick release:

1). Its a very buggy game.
2). I'm not on my Amiga 24hrs

Nearly done.

Any news on the new version of the install ? :-)

Oh, btw. Galahad - do you still have the "The Way of the Hubba" game in your to-do list to WHDLoad-ify ?
