Question about the Sum A1200 adapter
There are not much info on how to update the firmware in the SUM A1200 adapter. Could someone please explain me how to do it?
If I use a male to male USB wire it will not be recognised in SumFlasher. Thanks Volt. |

SUM USB Adapter.
Hi VoltureX,
See http://www.vesalia.de/e_suma1200.htm "An additional feature of the adapter is its "Bootloader" function allowing future firmware upgrades. The Sum adapter comes with a dedicated configuration mode, which becomes available when R-Shift and Pause keys are pressed simultaneously. User preferences are saved to the built-in EEPROM, thanks to which the device is already configured the next time you reconnect it." Maybe this will help. Regards, Michael aka rockape |

I am not sure if the Sum A1200 needs to be socketed in the Amiga to update the firmware via the Windows Bootloader. I want to be 100% sure so nothing burns.

Found out the Sum had to be socketed in the Amiga and had to press a button on the little board to get into Bootloader and then attach it to the PC via male to male USB wire
