The next batch is uploading. I didn't realize that it would take so long to upload 180 GB It's on the second day so far and at this rate will take at least another one or two days. When completed I'll post a list of everything new.
In the meantime I wanted to break down what is on the Millennium CDs. In case you don't already know, unlike the other software, Millennium is a collection of several programs, not just one. Here's what is included in Millennium: Wipe Studio - last version including the Power Module RenderFX 2.0 Fast Frames 2.0 Control Tower (slightly limited compared to the full 2.0 version which is being uploaded as well) Pro Mix Tools CG Pilot macro collection Electric Scene Knife (automatically detect scenes and make separate clips of each - just don't expect miracles) Fast Fuel (VTR control using the serial port) OZ Arexx Routines Flyer Backup Utility for digital backup of project files Pics2Clp uses HIIP to import various file types to Flyer clips Lots of Toaster Wipes, backgrounds, animated image sequences, Flyer clips, and Toaster fonts While assembled as a toolkit for the Flyer, much of the resources are just as useful with a Video Toaster without a Flyer. Check the directions at the beginning of the manual for installation instructions. The programs can be installed using the standard Installer utility but the additional resources need to be manually copied over. They set it up like this on the assumption that hard drives of the day didn't have the capacity for everything. PLEASE note the serial number listed in the manual for the Power Module for Wipe Studio. If you don't enter it you'll miss out on a lot of the functionality of Wipe Studio. |

*wow* so many cool stuff.
I did start with some software. made an animation with pancanvas2 and image fx. nice installed Fly-FX, some nice effects. Vol 1+2 are ok, but Vol 3 disk 1 has a read error. Fly_FX_Volume_3_Disk_1.adf, maybe you can try to make another backup. with the disk protected, you may try to use DiskSalv4. choose the device df0: and try "salvage" mode --> scan. next you choose output folder - select all files ( icon at the arrow in the image attached). finaly "salvage" button. if disksalv is able to recover the files w/o errors you may just pack them in an archive (lha / zip /rar) well, still a lot to discover. I only can repeat myself, thanks alot & no obscenities #1) Millenium-Wipestudio -> Power Module. the pdf says something about disk 1 and entering the serial. on the 3 ISOs i cannot find single diskimage. is the Power Module addon somewhere on the ISOs? we found a diskset with Wipestudio - which has the option to insert the serial. but it is missing the disk with the power module addon. any idea? Loving the Flyer how-to software/videos/.iso's and such. The Lightwave stuff is great too of course!
I've been flying blind with no documentation on my Toaster/Flyer system I acquired a while ago. |

Right now it looks like another 50GB to go on the upload. If you want the list of everything in this batch now instead of when it's done uploading I can post it. I thought it would make more sense to do it when the upload was done so people didn't get confused looking for something in the list but not actually there yet. I can do either way, just let me know what you prefer.
This may sound weird. I'm at 2 locations right now. The tape decks are at the other place and I digitize as much as I can when I'm there which is why it's in batches. The real Amigas are there as well. Because the floppies are so old I'm trying to get copies in the first pass. Instead of using old, potentially flaky Amiga drives, I'm copying them with a Kryoflux and Super Copy Plus boards and converting the flux copies to ADF. I'm doing the scanning here too. If something is bad on the disk I need to wait until I get back to the real Amigas to try Disksalv. I also have multiple copies of most of the disks but wasn't smart enough to pack more than one copy to bring with me to copy. When I get back home I'll unpack the extra ones to see if I can get a good copy. Disksalv doesn't work miracles and I rarely get a good recovery from floppies with it. Let me know if you find bad disks and I will try to get good copies. It will be a couple of weeks until I get back there so I will make a list of what isn't working now. Sorry about the delay. We're old and are spending the winter at a senior community because we can't take care of snow and such any more. In the mountains of West Virginia we get a good bit of "and such" Getting old just sucks - try and avoid it if you can The next trip I'll try to plan better about what I pack to work on. I have about another 2 feet of documentation with me to scan with more back home to get next trip. Besides the strictly Video Toaster stuff, I'm going to be uploading everything I have. Models in other formats than Lightwave - which can be converted by Lightwave directly or other tools. Lots of audio and video tools from before we got the Toaster. Stuff for other Amiga and Amiga-ish like EA and Aegis products and MacroSystem (Draco & Casablanca). Even though not directly Lightwave specific I was going to list it here as well so you could be aware it is available. Seemed to make sense to list all of the video related stuff in one place instead of scattering it around several threads. |

Sorry, forgot to add. For much of this I have multiple versions of the documentation and disks. I was planning on uploading all versions if that was OK. For example for ImageFX I have the GVP version and all of the Nova Design versions and the books for each one. I've got some extra copies of the big black version 2 book from Nova Design that I was going to unbind and scan.
I hope uploading the multiple versions is OK. |

getting older here too, it's not the best thing happens in human life
well, list new things if they are uploaded. time doesnt matter i think. #1) for now I found two disks with problems: Batch_Factory_2.adf (only one arexx file out of 100+ has bad crc) Fly_FX_Volume_3_Disk_1.adf (bad archive file -as described above) all others I tested are ok. #2) Wipe Studio - I will try again, and report the result --> did install again with the installer on cd1. installation was ok, but it does never ask for the serial of Power Module. I only get a requester: "iLBM wipes require Power Module", if I use Palette-Helper module from within WS and choose ILBM button. #3) I think there is enough room now for your additional uploads, so I think this will be ok. #4) installed the ControlTower 2 - this is nicly integrated into the toaster gui, cool .) some features do not work - maybe SnkBitten can do some tests with his VT/Flyer system. I only have the toasterless system, flyer things do not work here at all Last edited by emufan; 07 February 2018 at 23:39. |

Yeah, I was curious about how much of the software would work with the toasterless setup.

you can insert those in a project, but playing them does not work. maybe it's just about the missing drives only. I didnt make in deep tests, perhaps it is possible to just enable/setup the 3 drives and make it work somehow. have to look at it again the other day. #1) installed Fly-FX - the short rescued archive from vol-3-disk1 I could join with part1, and extract it partially, some files are missing, but shouldnt be a big problem. program and preview does work, but rendering those makes the emulation crash, it again tries to access the flyer clip/drives it should work, if you replace the flyer-clip with an image sequence, as it's done with HollywoodFX. #2) attached an example image, when playing the project with 2 flyer clips and a blind effect Last edited by emufan; 08 February 2018 at 20:26. |

yes, Vol 1+2 are ok, do install without problem.
they do not work, in the way of rendering using flyer clips. if you want make it work, you have to change the LW scene setup and replace the flyer clip settings with an image sequence. this way you can render the Fly-FX effect with your own footage not much technical information is available. it mostly the source code from the toaster and some Toaster developer document. but no progress was made, I guess - at least nothing related in winuae changelogs. hardware would help for sure. there were some offerings for a toaster/flyer for toni in the past, but this went nowhere, I think he still has nothing at all. you may PM him, maybe he still is interested in this whole newtek stuff. I believe Toni has repeatedly turned down all offers to get him either a Toaster, Flyer or both. There are reasons why though I don't know them.

Just checked and the upload did complete overnight. Until I get back home to pick up another load the next upload will be mostly documentation and label scans. I've got a few more floppies here to copy but not much more right now.

i'm already digging in your folder
found a 3rd bad adf image - 2nd disk of the Sculpt3d NYC scenes. disksalve can fix most problems, but one file remains bad. not big issue, just make you aware of it. so far 3 bad disks: Antic_Software_City_Icons_Volume_I_NYC_Sculpt_3D_Models_Disk_2.adf Batch_Factory_2.adf (only one arexx file out of 100+ has bad crc) Fly_FX_Volume_3_Disk_1.adf (bad archive file as described above) we'll take what you have, no matter what. time is not a problem |

I'm sort of surprised about the NYC disk being bad. That was a brand new, never opened box. Silly me assumed it was more likely to be good than the copy I used umpety-ump years ago I'm worried that for some of the disks I've just waited too long to do this and bit rot has gone too far
Edit: BTW forgot to mention above that the Composite Studio CD I uploaded does NOT require registration or a crack. Dimension Technologies actually got rid of the copy protection on their CD releases. Last edited by pgovotsos; 09 February 2018 at 20:12. |

it seems to be the perfect time to preserve the old disks.
5 more years and we would see more of those bad disks I've seen that message in the READ_ME_NOW text file. I did some test with it, standard 2MB chip made it crash while rendering something. set the emulator to use 8MB chip and it did finish the sequence. but somehow it did not save the rendered images I have to read a bit in the manual #1) I was using "quick render", which does render to the VT framebuffer only. have to use "save render" option. |

I haven't found the Composite Studio video yet but one of the Satellite videos has a decent tutorial on it. I think it's the scrapbook one. BTW that guy is interesting. He has a career of over 60 years in the media industry. He started in the radio days and when he was around 60 taught himself the Flyer. Totally off topic but thought that was pretty amazing. You don't think of senior citizens being flexible enough to learn something like this. Gives me hope
