I've asked the same question in the OT and didn't get many answers...
For me there's this incredibly cool game with a nice story: Stubb's The Zombie, based in the 60's! Great one, you've got to try it! It runs on the Halo engine and AFAIK available both for PC and XBOX. The other one I know, is one of those web-based browser games called Urban Dead, but you know how those games get with time... either kinda boring and repetitive or close to unplayable with 23942903747 cities to control... There's also Left 4 Dead on the Half-Life 2 engine, thus running pretty sweet, but... the Zombies are kinda... not my style |

Resident Evil 2 is the best zombie game ever for me. But there are many others really funny (ie: Zombie vs Ambulance, Onechanbara, or the cool mod for Half Life "They Hunger").

Zombie Apocalypse for Atari ST is really bad version, no sound fx, just simple non-sampled music.

The "They Hunger" mod for Half Life on the PC is by far my favorite. A very well made and atmospheric mod/game. There's a new version for the Half Life 2 engine currently in development, but it's taking forever! The "Zombie Apocalypse" games on the Amiga never really did anything for me, I'm afraid.

i have just put zombie apocalypse on my CF so will have a bash when i have done some work today -- i know holiday is gone already, sometimes i wish i was a zombie, at least the buggers dont have to work. I have a complete set of resident evil games , aprt from the DS and Gameboy advance ones, and love them - the first and second is still my fave though. the voice acting in the fist PSX version was superbly bad, still makes me crack up. I loved They Hunger, I got it off a PC gamer cover disk but the episodes got lost in a house move - must see if i can get them again. I also play Left 4 Dead on xbox, as well as Zombie panic half life 2 mod that is a real scream. Urban dead i tried but it just didnt do it for me. Stubbs is available for download on xbox live so i might just grab it if i have enough points. the spectrum had a nice little game called Zombie Zombie that was based pretty close to Ant Attack.

Yes I have... IIRC it is based on the unreal engine, looks like a horror movie and is tough... Nothing too special to the little extend I played it though, it might get better later but not that much I suspect

Horror Zombies from the Crypt, no contest!
then... i guessEye of the Beholder's and Perihelion's zombies were ok, but i can't think of many other cool zombie games... Doom 3? not really. i would check Left 4 Dead, as the concept it's great, but i if it's an online game i'm not interested |

To be honest I can't think of ANY zombie game that's as cool as Stubb's The Zombie.
You know what's AWESOME in it? That YOU are z Zombie!!! And you can turn most of the population of the level into your army!!!! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! If only the Halo (1?) engine used in the game wasn't so lousy or the author had the guts to give you a few (hundreds ) of humans to turn into Zombies... mmmmm I can already imagine, the march of the living dead... thousands of them!!!! mmmmmmmm.... I'd kill for that game, lol... L4D has a singleplayer mode but don't bother marco, it's boring after a few first levels, not to mention the zombies are too fucking fast, dammnit! After you complete COD World at War you get a nice little zombie survival game called nazi zombies... or was it Zombie nazis... either way its pretty cool, you are locked up in this little house and they try to come in through the windows and you have to hold out as long as you can.

@THB: LOL, really? That's a fine coincident - I'm playing it right now!
Thanks THB, now I have the reason to continue and finish the game |
