CSMKII DMA bug

Hello,

I have a CSMKII here with the DMA issue. According to Amiga Ressources, some parts have to be changed. Do we know what are the parts affected or only phase 5 knows that ?

Thanks for your help !

I've not heard of this before. How does one know if he has the problem? I have a CSMK2 that I've not noticed problems with before. I've recently got the SCSI addon for it but haven't got to plug it in yet, so perhaps I have the problem but haven't triggered it yet? I'm curious.

Check your serial number if still glued on the board and compare with amiga ressources.

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/cyberstorm2

Your scsi addon will work in all cases even if it is affected by the problem.
Only DMA storage devices will not work : internal A3k scsi controller, deneb in DMA mode...

In an A4k it is not really à problem, in A3k it is as the csmkII scsi addon will not fit in the case and the internal scsi controller will not work. In this case you need a zorro III storage expansion that do not use DMA access such as Deneb in PIO mode, buddha, fastata...

Yes on my amigas HDD is not recognized at all even in the early. For the Deneb, data are corrupted.

One of my CS MK-II is from that dreaded serial number range and it works fine on A3000 with onboard SCSI drive.
