Floppy disk Free music for your productions

I've made a bunch of chiptunes I don't see myself using in any of my productions, so I figured I'd make them available for others to use. One pack contains chiptunes suitable for cracktros/intros/etc. and another pack contains larger songs possibly suitable for games/demos.

I've tried to remove ones that have been already used in some productions but some may have still slipped through. Some tunes make use of the EFx command, and I've included a modified version (changed by Ross and myself) of the P61 playroutine that plays the effect the way it sounds in the ProTracker editor.

Feel free to use any of them for anything you wish, all I ask is that you credit me ("hukka" or "hukka/void") as the composer and preferably let me know what you made!

Chiptunes, updated link

You can also have a listen to the soundtrack I composed for the Flash game Legend of Kalevala. (It used Amiga mods to save on bandwidth.)

EDIT Feb 2018: Updated with a new URL for an updated chiptune pack.

Awesome, thanks!

That (hopefully) saves me worrying about the music for the front end of my game (I don't plan on having any in-game music, just sounds effects).

Yes, it is nice to have new mods used in productions/games rather than hearing the same old ones over and over again.

thanks hukka!

I have listened to them all now. I like most of them. I think the chiptunes ones are probably best suited to scrolling shoot'em ups. The 'long' ones are good too, with "forward" sounding great for boss-fights - though I'm tempted to use it at the front end (main menu) of my game

heh, i was expecting an Amiga game somehow. works well though, but i think you should turn the volume down a little on the in-game music, it's quite a loud tune and it overwhelms the sound effects a bit. imho.

Had a listen and got this good feeling now - I have this inkling (might be prejudice!) that oldskool Amiga demos are on the rise since last year or so, so if you're active and enjoy making songs you could find some fellows and rustle up a new group. It's how it was done in the old days. Do it for teh fame!!

I kind of have a group but I'm the sole member on the Amiga side
But if anyone wants to either join as a coder or graphician or have me join their group I'm all for it

Sadly most of it is crap though, a lot of the tunes up on there were made when I was a child. Anyway, I've edited the original post with a new URL (and new chiptunes)!
