About the DKB Megachip.
This is an adapter that goes between the Agnus socket in an 512k/1MB Amiga, and a 2MB Agnus (8375).
There's a wire on the DKB with a clip that should be connected to pin 36 on Gary. This adapter adds 1MB chip itself, so anyone with 1MB on motherboard gets 2MB, And people with 512k onboard can do the trapdoor mod, and get 2MB. Looks like there could be issues with the DKB since it'll be taller than the original PLCC. Depends on the space between Zeus and the fat lady :P Could I try a riser in the CPU slot or something if that's the case? Last edited by svin83; 02 April 2014 at 11:40. Reason: Corrected spelling |

Ok, thank you, looking forward to seeing pics
As you understood I'm interested in Zeus68k for my CDTV Just another question: is the cable for 7/50 Mhz switch (and the other goodies) long enough? In the CDTV it has to pass under the motherboard to arrive to the back panel, the only place where to place the switches of Zeus68k |

Me too. The cable is just a flat ribbon cable where you can put your own switch. In one of the test A500 we do have a very nice way of putting it - will reveal later.

I'd love to say yes but softie got dad a couple of weeks ago so... All features implemented, needs finishing. Hardware is nearly good to go.
I am planning to pre-buy some parts that are harder to get, the offer Zeus68k via the KryoFlux store. We'll then go to production and ship a few weeks later. |

I mean, If I have Zeus installed in the CDTV and I want to disable ide CF or acceleretor in order to use CDTV as a stock machine, could I? |

That is one of the great features of the Zeus68k - it's completely configurable in software. If you want a standard A500, you set the original clock speed, configure RAM as you like and then you have a stock A500.
As for flashing and things: This can be done via external hardware (JTAG), but usually you just do it in system: Boot your Amiga, run the Zeus68k flash tool and upload ROMs of your choice. |

Zorro II bus limits
I asked around a bit about the DKB MegAChip. The only reason I've found, that it possibly won't work with the Zeus68k is maybe limitations of the Zorro II bus...
I really have no idea, but I want the Zeus68k anyway, and If it crashes with the MegAChip I'll need to find a workaround, or another way to maximize chipmem. |

If you can consider that news I've seen a prototype (or pre-production?) board at Mr. Vince and it's very impressive to say the least

I have one question regarding the signal connection.
Could the FPGA in theory act as CPU? |

Are there any freezer carts that support 8mb fast, 2mb chip, full ECS, and kick 3.1?
