Vampire 500 v2+: Is all video HDMI yet?
Hi guys, I have the above card and am soon setting up an HDMI TV by the A500. Will I be able to route all the video from the A500 through the Vampire HDMI or only some? I know there was talk of an update to allow it but can't find out if that has been released yet.
Thanks. |

Your A500 works as before, video comes out from Amiga RGB port.
HDMI out works like any RTG video card for Amiga, and you need to install Picasso96 driver to use it. |

Ok, I had read that they were working to route all video through the HDMI in a future update?

Gold 2.7 does not have ETA. We will release it when the team is happy for it. Always buy on the basis of what you have today, not what the future might have.

Please excuse my ignorance. I have tried searching everywhere for this. I have now hooked up my Amiga to the HDMI screen but all I see is a vampire logo. How can I change this so that I can at least see some examples of what I can do with the HDMI output. I've tried setting my workbench 3.1 to the highest resolution but it still does not display. I do not use any version higher than a 3.1. what's up where can I try? Ideally I'd love to see my workbench 3.1 through HDMI if there is any possible way?

Maybe if everybody wasn't hyping Vampire as the end-all-be-all peripheral without actually precisely explaining what it is and, more so, hyping so much what the future "may" bring, there would be less confusion about its capabilities and less headaches for its developers.

The two monitor setup got old with me. When the update comes with all Hdmi I probably will play with it more.
I would imagine that when the stand alone Vampire is released that will mean Apollo core update will have to coincide with it. |

Something like the ratte switch for DVI would work for me. Indivision has DVI, and HDMI can easily be converted to DVI with a HDMI-to-DVI adapter.

I'm using the XRGB Mini, so I have RGB on one button and HDMI on the other.

Does it matter that I selected all the graphics drivers during installation? I can't believe they don't tell you in the "how to" to select uaegfx.
It's now working somewhat and it's amazing to see the display quality and colors! However the highest resolution I can get on my 2016 Samsung Smart TV is: 16:9 848x480 60Hz 32bit ARGB 16.7m colors If I select anything above that my TV says no input and I have to reboot. Yet the TV can definitely do Ultra HD. Any ideas? Thanks! |
