The v500 is getting a facelift... Majsta is adding an I/O header (or mabbe even 2). This can allow possibility of various devices to be hung off the vampire board, ethernet, wifi etc... These will need drivers, we have already identified some possible devices so if you are interested in doing a little coding etc, let us know...

it just keeps on getting better by the day thanks to Santa Majsta
But hopefully there is no-one out there claiming a patent or license for this add-on some kind of a USB add-on would be nice too though |

Jens doesn't have ethernet/wifi add-ons but has a great USB addon. So i don't see the similarity.

V500 has no usb so? And again this this apples vs lemons comparison. Jens his hardware works fine and is top notch quality available since many years. V500 is something completely different. Both are for sure impressive products, so no need for bashing any of them. (Just my 2c)

Doesn't Jens' USB addon only work on 020 and is connected to the clockport?
You would need an ACA500+ACA1221 for it to work on a 500. Surely it would be better if USB could be added to the Vampire. |

Correct but then again these are 2 cheap cards. With a rapidroad it will cost ya around 250 €. Fair enough for the overall package.
But V500 doesn't have it (for now), and does not support maprom etc, so no comparison |

The RapidRoad does not need a 020 - the Poseidon USB stack does.
I'm happy with my RR. I will probably get a V500 and stack it on top of an A500-Clockport-Adapter from ... *drumroll* iComp. And guess what, I'll even add a RR. A V500 and a RR in one Amiga! Shocking, isn't it? Cheers, McT |

Kipper, what are those few AIBB tests where the A4000/40 is faster ?
Is this related to chip-ram access speed? |
