Pirates! or Pirates! Gold? Which one do you prefer?
Well? Which version do you think is the best? Pirates! on the Amiga, or Pirates! Gold on the CD32?
To make sure you all remember the difference between each version, check out these: Pirates! Pirates! Gold (CD32) Me? I prefer the original. Better animation (or at least lack of unecessarily huge sprites with terrible animation when swordfighting) and generally nicer graphics and sound. I didn't enjoy the cartoon look as much as the original look. |

No problem
I'm really looking forward to Port Royale 2 myself. That, and of course the new Pirates! from Sid Meier. |

Well YES. It's minimalistic Pirates Gold's graphics are technically advanced, but aren't very nice.

Yup, it's not always about having the most colours or highest resolution. Sometimes pure design is what seperates the graphics.
I mean, I can easily pick out quite a few titles on the amiga that I consider to have better graphics than an average 3D PS2 title. |
