Nice update. Sadly Shadow of the Beast (black graphic glitch) is still not fixed.

Thanks for the info Retroplay Guess it's a good enough reason to give UNZ another look.

I tried it, but I have no idea how it's supposed to work so I just ended up staring at the startup screen randomly clicking on stuff to no avail.

Anyone want to do a quick how to?

Sorry for necromancing such an old thread, but...

Has anybody had any luck using this on 64-bit Windows ?
The main problem is, it requires ASPI drivers for CD and Virtual CD drives, and ASPI isn't really a thing these days, at least not on modern 64-bit Windows versions.

Too bad UNZ development stopped.

[Edit]
Oops, ASPI isn't needed, still it doesn't work with WinCDEmu.

You don't need aspi for UNZ, the latest (last?) version I have is 0.5 L30
I just use it in conjunction with daemon tools and tell UNZ to use D: (my virtual drive).

Yep, Belg is right. Older games works better with DaemonTools. WinCDEmu probably emulates IDE drives only.

Daemon Tools.. not sure I want to install that again.
Last time I checked newer versions were riddled with crapware.

It also looks like DT isn't free anymore like it used to be.
Oh well.. no cake for me.

Does anybody know which was the last DT Lite version without the adware/malware crap ?

Yeh, I use the lite version. I do remember installing a version a few years back which annoyed the hell out of me and I uninstalled it and swore never to use it again, but obviously eventually I did and it generally doesn't annoy me and just sits in the tray doing what it's meant to do.

I tried Virtual Clone drive but that doesn't work with bin/cue images.
As for DT Lite, I simply refuse to install anything riddled with adware.

Oh well, one can hope MAME gets better FM Towns support one of these days.
I tried Chase HQ yesterday, it starts but has some problems and for whatever reason it locks up MAME, hitting Esc to quit back to menu doesn't work.

Ok, let me check one of my external HDDs which should have numerous older versions downloaded.

These work fine on Windows 7, but if you're on Windows 10 then no guarantee.

Ok, in The Zone! you will find an archive which contains:

... DAEMON TOOLS V4.09.1 X86
... DAEMON TOOLS LITE V4.12.0
... DAEMON TOOLS LITE V4.35.6

Let me know via PM once you've downloaded and I'll delete from The Zone!

Exactly, I finally got 10 LTSC up and running the way I want it to.
You know, good old quicklaunch in taskbar (not that stacked crap), classic XP start menu, old photoviewer, acting/running like my dear old Win7 did and I really don't feel like screwing it up now that everything works as it should.
Just setting everything up is a chore, OOTB, 10 is a messy nightmare..
But... that's another story and very OT...

[edit]
Thanks, got 'em from the zone.

Another reason why I won't go to Windows 10 on my personal laptop and stick with Windows 7... I don't need M$ support

Anyway, image up your final setup / installed apps / configurations as they are now.

Afterwards you can play around with messy apps; and if stuff goes wrong then just re-image if removing cleanly fails
