WinUAE going nuts when set to certain resolution

Hi,

Had a look around, but didnt find a answer.

With latest version (and previous) of WinUAE, if I set the res to 1366x768 (Native res for my laptop), with filter set to fullscreen, winuae goes nuts.

I opens 100's of winuae until the system eventually dies (or I force a shut down). If I alter the res to 1280x768 it runs fine.

Any idea's?

If you want a log, will have to sort it tommorow as im not on laptop at the moment.

Which filter did you choose to apply exactly ? Does it fail the same with Full Screen unticked in the filter tab ?

Good point, its on the res causing problem. If I alter it to 1 lower its fine, when it loads AmigaSYS4, picasso puts it into 1366x768 and its fine. If I play a game, if drops the res back to 1 lower.

So Im unable to use native res, when playing games etc etc.

EDIT:- Just grabbed the bootlog. I cant see anything obviously wrong with it. I turned off filtering, that stopped it opening 100's of WinUAE.
However main problem remains, it crashes to desktop.

First, there are no "latest" and "previous" versions. Only exact version numbers.

winuaelog.txt is needed, enable it in misc panel (boot = only startup messages before emulation starts)

Sorry, I ment latest as in on your site (WinUAE 1.6.1). Obviously not beta, or I would have said beta, .

Will do this now, forgot about the other log option, .

EDIT:- Now attached, I left filter off as it sends WinUAE nuts when using 1366x768. With no filter, it just gives error sound and crashes WinUAE.

I think this should be already fixed in 2.0 betas. (non-8 divisible width issue)

To update this thread.

Toni you have indeed fixed it in the beta version. It also asked me to install DX runtime conponents, never had to do this before.

Anyways all working fine, .
