Eww, i remember the Quickshot II. They can be summed up in one word - flimsy. The Bug was pretty awful too, i remember Gamesmaster (either the show or magazine) touting them as being rather good, then i tried one and decided they weren't.

My favourite Amiga joystick was a certain model of Competition Pro which i used for a long time, i know there were several models but my one looked like this:

It stood up to a lot, including repeated attempts at the arm wrestling contest in Iron Lord. Not many sticks can take that kind of punishment.

A good test of a joystick is these two games that spring to mind:

Daley Thomsons Decathalon on the 8bits

&

you have to waggle the joystick left to right to get the meter scale to the top! great fun with a load of mates and some beer!

I remember that, I always got a low score.

Then I start using my mouse in the joystick-port, then ...

I cheated! i would get a heavy joystick out and turn it upside down, hold the base and then shake the bloomin thing from side to side really hard so i would get the "Freak of Nature" on the scale! LOL funny as f***!

Mine was a competition joyboard - a great piece of technology with great auto-fire functions and everything I ever wanted.

I payed 50 DM back then. It broke on the first day while playing Turrican 2 :/

The shaft was only 0,7 cm broad and hollow, because all cables went trough it, so no wonder.

Sadly found no picture or the real name

No, that's the Icontroller by Suncom

If Loriciels distributed it in France is another matter.
There's many versions and it's not meant to be a joystick replacement, actually meant to be a mouse replacement.
