Nope. Do you think it should?.

Remember that AKReal can be used with WinUAE (I mainly use it there and it's amazing thanks to Toni and the options I've implemented to this distro like for example to switch to RTG or going back to AGA with a few clicks) and it also offers a lot of configurations that you better use there if you try some of the options that MorpheuZ is offering.

A bit offtopic -but funny-. Do you remember Robocop?. He had three laws, "Three Laws of Robotics by Isaac Asimov (often shortened to The Three Laws or known as Asimov's Laws).

They are:

1- A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2- A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3- A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

Now, back to the topic:
The first law for AKReal is that it all has to work for Real with real -or emulated- hardware as the principal requirement.

So nope, I won't add a Rabbit hole or something similar that can't work in a real Amiga. To tell the truth I don't like getting out of the emulation just to get inside an external browser using another OS. For me, if any browser can't work as it should to enter in all of the internet sites, I don't need/don't want that. If they don't work in a miggy, I just won't try that and I'll keep using the sites that work for example with IBrowse that's my favourite.

About bells and whistles/features and GUI enhancements and so on, only the great ones have a place here and as always they have to be an option, so you are able to run AKReal without them.

I have just upgraded 8.7.0 to 8.8.0 and planned to upgrade to 9.0.0 also.
Then I see that I have to download and install it manually and also that I need to buy the upgrade to 9.0.0.
I have no problem to buy this upgrade but I'm just wondering how this works.
After I buy the upgrade do I get a download link on email ?
And how do I do this upgrade after the download ?

You don't have to pay anything, it's free. It shows an amount to pay that you can change. You'll get an email with the files to make the update doubleclicking an icon

You can call it a break or as you like, but please you can keep supporting it just like it is.

Curious about compatibility with 3.1.4 ROMs. I decided to go that route over 3.9, since getting it working with the 060 and everything seems easier, but would love a shinier pack of things on top of it (seems my install is missing some random things here and there (like wbrun when I try to open magicmenu prefs).

I threw in 20 Euros since I used this in the past and it was awesome. Figured I'd do a full install, then remembered it needed 3.9.

First off, thanks very much Retrofan for putting together AKReal!

I do have a question though. I successfully installed AKReal 9 (yes, I made a donation) on my A3000 with Mediator and Radeon 9250. But with certain file requesters, this message will come up (I'm using MUI5 and Opus).

My apologies if this has already been answered, but I couldn't find it.

It says:

You have installed version 19.35 of "muimaster.library" and version 21.11 of "Panel.mui" on your system. This configuration is invalid, the version numbers must be identical.

One example is when trying to select a file for the backdrop.

You probably have two "muimaster.library" installed, if 19.35 is in Libs, the updated 21.xx one should be in MUI/Libs.

"Panel.mui" 21.11 should belong to MUI 5 while "muimaster.library" 19.35 belongs to MUI 3.8.

To resolve delete or rename "muimaster.library" 19.35 which is in Libs, done this the system will use the correct one found in MUI/Libs.

I've a problem at start, an Amidos Windows saying ENDIFELSE :Unknown command
and then Dopus seems to launch twice

I think it's related to the Amikit-StartOs script because it's the only time i see a ENDIF followed by a ELSE

I don't know how to fix it because the syntax look ok

I think it's related to BB 3&4 because i don't have this problem with BB2

I want to try with BB3 & 4 because i use CD32+TF330+CF Card 32Gb and i've some problem with CF access (slow)

An idea ?

I've never had luck with BB3 and BB4. But what version of Shell do you have with BB3 and BB4? in BB2 I have 45.7. Maybe try using the BB2 Shell with your BB3+BB4 install before you install AKReal.

Shell is 45.7 too After AKREAL install over BB4

BTW i've switched the desktop to Dopus 5.91 and the problem doesn't appear anymore

Everything loads without error message

I'll test like this on my real CD32 to see if it suits my needs

I've seen that i'm not the only one to have this problem because in this video she has the problem too at 9:45 :

Yep, I've told a million times that BB3&4 are not supported at all. Maybe I should write it every two posts or something.
