How to specify the game variant used in Arcade Mode?

Usually I have several different variants of an existing game. Is it somehow possible to specify which variant is started when I start the game from Arcade Mode?

Hi, ketschak, the answer is yes and no

The Arcade interface is missing some features - and one of those is being able to see the variant list and change the active variant.

But for now, there's some logic to what variant is automatically chosen. If you have starred a variant using FS-UAE Launcher - that variant will automatically be used. Otherwise, the highest rated variant (= the top one in the variant list in FS-UAE Launcher) will be picked.
