Ultimate WB2.04 Config.

Hi,
I have a newly formatted 2000 w/8 meg ram & 2HD's totaling 600 meg. It is unaccelerated at 7mz.
I would like to get your opinions on the trickiest software configuration that I can push through this system.

Not sure what you mean by trickiest - hardest to install? Anyway classic Workbench is a good place to start http://classicwb.abime.net/ . I've recently set it up on a 16GB compact flash card via WinUAE and intend to set up my 1200 sometime over Christmas.

Thanks for the response. By trickiest I was meaning tricked out. I closest I can get to 3.0 without buying another 3000.
Maybe the best 2.0 desktop environment possible thru software is a better way of describing what I want to accomplish.

You can run Kickstart 3.1 rev 40.63 on your A2000.

Worth upgrading to 2.1 which is a software only upgrade and brings you some of the nice features of 3.x without new ROMs.

As posted above, the GAAE version is for 2.1: http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/gaae.htm

It might give you an idea of the kinds of things you can install.

Is there some Workbench Menu tool, to give the Menu more Amiga key short cuts?? Because there are some missing on 2.x compared to 3.x and there are none on 1.x
