Stressful game where everybody died in <2 minutes

Please help me! This has been bothering me for years!

I remember playing this game that I never figured out how to play. The setting was (maybe) a group of people aboard a spaceship in some kind of distress - it was a very scary, dark, and stressful situation.
It started up with you controlling one guy out of a squad of characters. You were supposed to switch between them, I guess.

I remember being quite frustrated, because whenever I started a game, my characters would quickly die, one by one, within a minute or so. Even if I switched to one of the others, everybody would die.

I don't remember if there was an (alien) enemy or the ship (or whatever it was) was crashing or malfuntioning, but somehow everybody got picked off.

Any ideas?

It might be even in less colors than those games.

Was the game viewed from the top-down, sideways or from a first-person perspective?

Good question! It was 1st person. And there were hotkeys for controlling the other characters. Think they were all human.

It might be Hired Guns, but it somehow doesn't feel right

Don't think it's Xenomorph, you only control 1 character in that!

Maybe one of the Alien(s) games, I don't know if they were ported to the Amiga though.

Sheesh mayday squad heroes- I had/have that game. A budget affair. As a kid it took me a long time to get used to the controls and warm to the game type. When I did it wasn't terribly bad- I think.

It's probably Space Hulk.
I got a demo on one of the magazine cover disks and I could never figure it out how to play.
It starts as 1st person view, you can change to other characters and you move through corridors.
Then I almost always died pretty fast, killed by some monster.
