Skan's Den

Oh cool, just noticed this Graphics category, so here I am!
Already posted this stuff in the past as an album, but I suppose it's better here now...

These are some finished works I made in the past, been quite silent and inactive for a million of reasons in the last few years, but I'd like to get back in action sooner or later...

Anyway, here we go:

All pix made on real hardware with DPaintV

A logo for friends in demogroup Nature released at GREP party.
MidRes AGA stuff IIRC (upscaled here to keep proportions).

The UI panels for Jurassic Pack diskmag issue 17.

Pretty sure those were MidRes too, but I could find just these screenshots online... dammit, gotta put my good old 1200 back in action and see what's on the HD... shitloads of WIP stuff for sure!

Great stuff man!
I especially like the second picture on your first post.
Looks somewhat pretty realistic.

Thanks!
That pixelwork (DemiurgeAvenger) was a hell of a ride to make and it was build with bits and pieces from a series of previous pics I made back in 1994 to 96, but in the end I added so many details that not a single pixel was left untouched!
It placed 2nd at TUM 2005 demoparty, so it was well worth it after all! I entered the compo remotely since I couldn't attend ...and I think Stingray still has the prize somewhere!

Thanks! Some might say my style is not properly "pixel art", but seeing what is considered "pixel art" these days, I'm happy to be an outsider!

Nice works, enjoyed going through your album. In my opinion, there was no reason for you to be silent. Definitely should get back on track soon. Good luck

Thanks for the nice words!
You see...life happens! I started working as a graphic designer to earn a living, then I switched a thousands jobs... And pixelling got lost in the process.

I'm more of a 3D generalist doing VR stuff with UE4 these days, but my heart still beats like...a boing ball!

I'd like to get back in biz doing some sprite design for games now, let's see what happens.
