Games you always wanted to see made into a movie.
(Doing some research, all comments much appreciated!)
What classic Amiga games(s) did you always want to see made into a movie (or TV show) ? |

Cinemaware games.
Another World would make a cool silent Manga type film. |

Captain Planet...oh wait.
Probably Agony, so something that looks like Legend of the Guardians but using the Agony plot. |

It Came from the Desert (interestingly, this was heavily influenced by the "giant bug" B-Movies of the 1950's)
Another World Prince of Persia (was made yet with no correlation to the original) The Secret of Monkey Island (this was actually a strong influence on Pirates of the Caribbean. The game, however, was also strongly influenced by the Disney ride, so it's a case of circular influence) Shadow of the Beast The Chaos Engine Apydia (would be a nice animé of sorts, I reckon) Gods Golden Axe Legend of Kyrandia Lionheart Maniac Mansion Moonstone - A Hard Day's Knight Beneath a Steel Sky Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (had to be made with 1990's Harrison Ford. That train has passed) I'm sure there's more, but I'm not remembering them. |

I think Shadow of the Beast movie should be based more on console "remake" as they added good ideas.

I think Lost Patrol could end up being a blockbuster if done correctly.

All the Lucasfilm games, especially Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis. Always seemed t me like a logical move to make that into a film but it never happened
I think Loom, Maniac Mansion and Zak McKraken would be awesome movies. |

Well... I guess Speedball 2 is basically inspired by Rollerball the movie...
Populous could be pretty good, if done from both the "player" and "pieces" points of view. |

So many good suggestions!
Another World and Flashback are the obvious inspirations, Shadow of the the Beast is up there too. Adventure games like Beneath a Steel Sky (and Monkey Island/Indy) are almost movies of a sort already. I'm really liking the more out-of-the-box suggestions too, Speedball, Apydia, Chaos Engine, especially Agony - I've seen it but not played it, what's the story like? Would love to see a Silkworm movie myself... |
