More colors in workbench?

I use WinUAE and OS3.9 but only 256colors?, my wb backgrounds and icons looks terrible.
How do i get more colors

install picasso96 and choose uaegfx as your graphics card... that would give you pc resolutions/depth

Install Magic Copper and have a rainbow background!
