A proper effort and no mistake.
Zero concessions to the idea that the platform is no longer worthy of going 'all in'.
Splendid stuff.

Cheers dude

Big game and probably largest I've worked on as a personal project. Worked on level 13 'Guildingston' today. Have no idea just yet when it will be released tho yet.

Might seem a superflous question but are you going full scroll or old NES style zelda flip screen with the environment?

Nice! The ST version normally looked good on the box against the Amiga version! They were lucky there was no Youtube back then!

If you took out the 256 colour stuff for the UI mainly then a version of the game would certainly be possible. Would have to lose some of the planned weather effects too and the layer lighting effects. It would still play OK tho albeit a somewhat slower and down to about 12.5FPS now and then with a lot going on screen perhaps ...see Doodlebug Amiga vs AtariST...

Rob68K is AtariST man tho - not me! Just doing this for Amiga is mind bending enough for my rusty old brain these days

Yeah i shouldn’t be too mean about the ST, after all it did bridge a gap from the 8-bits to the Amiga for some developers!

And i think it was probably underused more than the A500 was, with alot of more recent ST stuff doing different scrolling and the like showed it could have been possible back then. And bar Thalion, Bitmap Brothers there wasn’t too many others that pushed the hardware like Psygnosis, Team 17 did for the Amiga.

Looking great! Really great map.

Are you planning on 2/3 button support?

Would you consider ever releasing a short single level demo at any point?

No worries on ST porting, Amiga is still king

2 button support is planned.

There will be a demo version later to try around the time of release.

Cheers all.

Thanks, hopefully it should look pretty good when done. Taking a while, but it's already evolved quite a bit in the last 8 months since I started it.

Dungeonette update:

I'm just coming to the last game map sometime next week. Been a long journey that bit for sure, as is now a pretty big game with many more tile sets than I usually create.

Just so you know, I'll be switching to a new form of packaging for the Physical version, so I'm afraid it's curtains for the older Micro Series boxes for this release and the now very expensive Big Glossy boxes too.

Basically the Physical version of Dungeonette will feature 'everything' in one neat and tidy package for everyone wanting that offering, and the Digital versions will be as before with previous releases pretty much. I know this will annoy some but I have some very real physical packaging related issues my end that make this time for change this next game release.

The game should be ready by end of this year if there are no major problems with anything.

Can't say more that that currently but on it all some of the time

L8rz.

Send a message via ICQ to Predseda
I am not sure if I understand well regarding the physical packaging. Does it mean the game will not be released neither in micro box nor in big box? How it will be released then?
