Is WinUAE using a real triple buffer or render-ahead queue?
Is WinUAE's triple buffering the real thing, e.g. where un-needed frames can be thrown away? Or is it a read-ahead queue, where every drawn frame has to be displayed before the next frame can be shown?
The former would potentially decrease lag compared to double buffer, while the latter would always increase lag. I am asking because I just read this article and now I am curious which setting I should use: https://www.anandtech.com/show/2794/3 Last edited by rsn8887; 17 January 2018 at 01:50. |
