Rick Dangerous II + Prince of Persia (Angels Compilation)

What with the success in recent years of getting that one Slipstream compilation disk from my youth preserved by a helpful fellow or two, I'm looking to see if we can strike the gold mine a second time with another memorable compilation disk from my Big Box Of Copied Disks In The Sky.

It was a very interesting disk indeed - it squeezed both Rick Dangerous II and Prince of Persia onto a single floppy. Both titles were cracked/trained by Angels, so I'm willing to believe the pack was an Angels scene release. I checked the TOSEC set and the two games are available in their Angels form on seperate disks from one another, and in NDOS format - but the disk I recall had a traditional AmigaDOS bootblock and loaded a mouse-operated menu where you could choose your game. It had a scrolling background of bubbles zooming horizontally across the screen at various speeds, and your mouse operated a red-crosshair cursor. I'm intrigued to know how the specific data for each game was stored in this case, whether they were repacked into files, or integrated into the disk as NDOS data still and the menu invoked trackdisk loaders.

Hopefully someone here remembers the same disk as me and - fingers crossed - might even have it on them still!

So it was hidden away all this time! :O I always tend to ignore/forget about the Astronut compilations for some reason or other.

So it looks like both games are one-filed, but Rick 2 is compiled very oddly, since there are still loading times in the game! I should take a closer look at this - my curiosity is starting to get the better of me!

Thanks a lot for finding it. What made you think to look at that particular ADF btw? Did you plough your way through the Astronut disks before?
