transfer ADF to Amiga?

hi,
amiga 500 kick1.3 wb1.3 1mb extension, no harddisk, (no crossdos)
i want to transfer an adf to the amiga..
so here is my plan...
i first download fat95 and adf2disk..transfer them via nullmodemcable to the amiga (do i need more programs?) this will work, tried it several times, with transdisk on the amiga -side its no problem..but..
afterwards i format some disks on the pc in 720kb (800kb) and put the adf`s
on it, in order to read them in the floppy on the a500 with the help of "fat95"
and then extract the adf`s with adf2disk..
did someone tried it already? will it work with a500 without crossdos?
where to put adf2disk and fat95 on the workbench1.3?

You cannot read PC disks with FAT95 alone. You also need mfm.device (part of CrossDOS) or similar. IIRC the XFS package on Aminet contains a device for reading PC disks. But I think that both FAT95 and XFS need Kickstart 2.0 to work.

However, if you already transfered programs to the Amiga successfully via nullmodem cable, why don't you use this way for ADFs either ?

tried that already, but transdisk seems to have probs reading the adf`s correctly, and with 1mb ram its more like an adventure to send them via nullmodem,
via floppy would be more comfortable, i think

ok, thx, so i need kick2 for doing this, but still i can`t understand how an ADF(880kb?) fits on a 720kb-disk..
it has to be splitted?

Could you transfer a dms instead - they tend to be smaller and make the disk on the miggy side then? I used to do that.

do you have 1Mb total or 1Mb + 512Kb? on my A1200 (2Mb) with normal transdisk work i had to split the adfs, but i used a copy of my original WB3.0 with relevant files added, so heavy on the memory resources in itself before the transdisk stuff.
