AExplorer and Miami Deluxe configuration
Hi guys.
I'm trying to make aexplorer work with miami deluxe. I think that I've tried all advices found here and around... - I have an etherlink III pcmcia ethernet card correctly installed and working. - I can browse the net from amiga - i can ping my pc and my pc can ping back my amiga - I have aexplorer installed and running on my amiga (tried via serial and it works) - aexplorer on pc is correctly configured - Miami deluxe is online, of course - I'm using the suggested settings taken from the cloanto site - I put my amiga ip into dmz - Even tried disabling my antivirus Simply it doesn't want to work The error i get is: "error connecting with the amiga server:tcp/ip socket not found" and then he talks about a proper version of aexplorer and to check ip configuration. What am I missing? |

really no clue, but on their website/faq they write about a control port (356) AE is using.
possible you have to setup port forwarding for this very port on your router?! |

hmm, on the same page, they write about Genesis tcp/ip stack, blocking ports 0-1023 on default.
maybe miami is doing so too, and you have to enable port 356 on the amiga/miami side? is there a logfile in AE or miami, maybe you will find more details once enabled? latest version of AE you have installed? udp and tcp in both directions? but not really sure what it does use. |

Yeah, I think I had to open the Windows firewall (Windows 10) to/from my Amiga's IP.
Can't remember if I did just that port (356) or just the whole IP.. Worked after that.. Good luck. desiv |

Yeah... it was the firewall... Strange, because I always disable it.
Anyway, thank you all. |
