Ok I'll give the workbench screens a mess around and see what I can get working. Then try some Games. I know Doom was off centre when I tried it.

I was considering OSSC for use with my Decklnk 4K, but currently they are out of stock. So I found SCART To HDMI Converter PSG08048 By Pro Signal which seems to accept RGB signals, unlike the cheap SCART to HDMI converter which works, but with very bad dark picture as I've stated in this thread http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=103424

Does anybody know if the PSG08048 will work good or even get close to OSSC results, or currently there is no replacement for the OSSC?

Got a LG OLED TV now. These are native 120Hz panels and work in a 40-120Hz range. It accepts every computer and console so far, in all Line modes, PAL/NTSC. Perfect for retrogaming.

Except that you have to be a little careful with games that have static graphic content. Otherwise that sounds great - is motion completely smooth both in PAL and NTSC?

Yep, movement is very smooth. I had problems with my NTSC modded PAL Mega Drive on a Panasonic LED TV since the Hz output was a bit off, compared to a real NTSC Genesis. It was awfully jerky. But this is fixed too, the LG panels seems to accept every uneven Hz output as it seems.

It's a re-released B9 model. But every other 9er should be fine. It's even Freesync compatible, with a CRU software mod.

Bought the latest v1.6 Kaico, doesn't work, black screen, arsing around for hours, nothing.
Currently consider the OSSC the most overrated POS out there.

Is there just a slim chance you've got a bad unit or you're doing it wrong?

Have you tried more than one monitor/tv? Some displays are simply not compatible with the Ossc, or at least not with every resolution it can output.

I'm curious about the HD 720 mode with OSSC using HighGFX4 modes
I've tried with a CD32 + TFF30 with the RGB port and a DB23 to scart cable from Amigakit, but i got black screen
Then i tried with a DB23 to vga adapter, using the vga input of the OSSC and get black screen too.
I have tried the settings from the first page but can't get it to work
How did you get HD720 on OSSC? from SCART or VGA ?
I'm on a Samsung TV, it surely has less modes than a PC Monitor

Afaik, do only 15khz modes with csync work through Scart. The 31khz modes require vga h/v sync lines.

Yes i went back to SCART in PAL Hi-res because VGA has vertical bars. I've tried many VGA cables with same results, but perhaps it's my buffered DB23 to VGA adapter that can do this.
The result with SCART is excellent, i just wanted to try HD720 mode, wich could be great on a 1080p TV, but i think it's not possible with my setup, or i have to try with another DB23 to vga cable/converter

Well, the problem with vga on the ossc is, it’s missing a low pass filter http://junkerhq.net/xrgb/index.php?t...#AV3_.28VGA.29
I guess, one could use a sync combiner like this https://www.retrorgb.com/vga-to-scar...-combiner.html and get a better picture.

Apparently, jarp, starter of this thread, has a nice picture in HD720 mode :

I think i'll try with another DB23-VGA adapter mentionned in this thread

I bought OSSC for use with my retro gear. With the Amiga and SCART to RGB cable it works okay on the BenQ EL2870U monitor, but when I use the Decklink 4K Framegrabber, the picture starts to move from up to down as seen on this video at 25:44

[ Show youtube player ]

Is there a way to fix that moving picture to get it in sync at 50 Hz vertical with the OSSC settings?

Also, are there ready to use Amiga profiles in bin format available for download (I installed 0.88a firmware) or json files, so I can create Amiga profiles with the web app and import them?

Or I have to manually enter the settings and tweak until it works?

The OSSC does not change the vertical rate, its whole point is to try to adhere to the exact timing that the connected device outputs.

Here's my PAL settings via the SCART input, adjust until good. VGA needs different settings. They are for full overscan according to what the 3.1 overscan prefs outputs from my A1200.. If you need something else, you need to do something else. Enjoy. :-)

Where to enter these values? I've searched in Firmware 0.88a menu, but didn't find them. Or they have to be imported via profiles?

For me more important is to fix the Vertical Rolling issue. It is still presented even when I switched to VGA cable with the use of RGB to VGA adapter. I've tested ECS Amiga 600 with KS 2.0 ROMS and AGA Amiga 1200 with KS 3.1 ROM. I also have Amiga 1000 with OCS, which is not tested yet, but I think it will be the same issue. On the microAmigaOne with AmigaOS 4.1 I don't get vertical rolling though. But then the AmigaOne uses standard VGA output and modes, not TV PAL modes like the classic Amigas.

Everything can be set via the menus.

Sampling opt -> adv timing is where they live. Remember to set your line mode to something else than generic.

This is your grabber doing the rolling, OSSC cannot help unfortunately, since it is not a scaler. It will not be able to adjust the vertical refresh for you.
