I broke it

Hello,

I seem to have broke my hard drive support. It used to work, but today any time i try to run any hd file, i just get an error.. IOError: [Errno 21] Is a diretory:

what have i done???

found files called FS-UAE.log and lastConfig.uae. Are those the one you want? how do i post them? it says invalid file if i try to attach, and too long if i try to put in this box?

FS-UAE.log is the only file needed (it also has logged the configuration values). The forum here does not accept the file extension, unfortunately, so either zip it, or rename it to .txt. Then you can attach it to a post.

This log file only logs a session where you ran Lemmings_1.adf (no hard drive)...

the HD games wont work - any of them. I press start in the launcher and i get that [Errno 21] error message immediatly. im not sure its even getting far enough to be aded to the log?

Ah, I see. No, that's before FS-UAE is even started (Launcher.log.txt would instead be the interesting file in this case). You may have the same problem as in this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=67407.

The problem, if it's the same) occurs when using zipped "hard drives" from FS-UAE Launcher and using the save state function. These two features cannot be used at the same time, currently. (FS-UAE should of course not allow the features to be used together...).

You must manually clean up the save state directory for the configuration to fix the problem. (Or create/use another configuration, as that will use a new/another state dir).

yep, i did try to do that. That has fixed it.

Good, hehe, - but seriously, this cannot possibly be blamed on you, as there was no indication that it would not work

I will add a new option to FS-UAE (save_states=0), and have FS-UAE Launcher use that option when it uses temporary hard drive directories. That will at least prevent this issue from cropping up, and I can later take a look at making it possible to use these features together (I should have done this a week ago).
