I remember Playing the Preview version of Bodyblows, it was fun.
My bro and me used to play it Pretty much, Playing Dan Vs Ninja.
But later, the full version was rather 'hide it somewhere where nobody can see it'.
I remember long loading times, the gameplay was not as previewed, and then the game ended and it got back to the main screen pretty fast.
Compared to the preview, where you could jump straight into the game, the Full game was not worth starting >.<.

I remember playing Overdrive and Sensible soccer alot too. But the full games were tested years later through emulation. Overdrive full didn't seem to be as remembered.

Hmm seeing the videos of Jaguar Demo and Full versions, and the recent Giana Sisters mods, i have a question:

Is it Possible to swap the sounds and music, from the Demo version into the Full version somehow ?

I was surprised by the huge difference between the Fear demo (without an S) and full game. Fear was fun to play, but the frame rate in Fears was so choppy that I recall feeling nauseous when playing it for the first time (give me Gloom or Gloom Deluxe any day).

It was in the game if we are talking on the same alien. It appears only when you die.

Beavers... I had Amiga Power demo which I loved. The full game though starts off with this rather difficult fast horizontal scrolling level, for which you can't take your eyes off the screen or even blink or you'll die and end up throwing your joystick through the tv screen... Many players expecting a relaxing laid back game probably never got past that first level. :-(

Body Blows.... I had that demo too - Amiga Action coverdisk. Much more fun than full game.

I loved the Rotox demo back in the day which resided on a CU Amiga coverdisk. That was about as much gameplay one could get from that game.

This flying level demo of Pegasus had in-game music, but the full game had only sound effects:
http://amr.abime.net/issue_319_coverdisks

And the music in it is also known as the "Super Cars 2 menu music", so maybe that's why it wasn't included in the final version; they already used it in another game. But style wise it's very close to the intro music of Pegasus, so I think it was originally composed for Pegasus, rather than Super Cars 2.

I think Pegasus should have Air Combat music from Turrican 3 instead of howling wind.

I think main hero of Leander in preview of ST version have slightly different face or maybe it's effect of color reduction. If someone want to check it's on disk stranger_intro_compil_05_(19xx)(stranger)

Does it mean that the preview was better (check thread's title)?

in the demo and preview you have only 1 level or less, so they can show much graphics, much sound..
In the final versione (no HD install, little memory) they must cut everything,

The PC Demo and Preview show more or less the same game (a part Wing Commander demo, where PC version was much beautiful)

Wow. Years ago I posted on here saying I didn't remember skid marks looking so shite when I played a demo of it on my cd32, no one else knew what I was on about saying it's always looked like that. Thanks for confirming I am not insane (or at least removing that element of evidence at least lol)

Might for it up and get some screen shots of the demo later

I remember playing a demo of this from a magazine coverdisk and thought it was quite good. It was fast an furious. My friend bought the full game so I went to his house, played it and couldn't stop laughing. He was deceived, as the full version was nothing like the demo. The full version was about 5 times slower and the response was WELL sluggish. I had bought Mortal Kombat for the Amiga and my friend was envious as MK for the Amiga was infinitely better than Body Blows. I gave this a 4.

Battle Squadron - more/different sound fx
Alien Breed 3D - different, better enemies(?)

any more?
no more different than seeing movie trailers and thinking the same, then getting put off when u snore half the way through the full movie..

I think Amiga games are more better at this,,, but not always. When it comes to it, its still making u "buy" it. I would think any arcade based cop-in would be better as both a demo as well as the full game like Body Blows..

less so, for others..
