A2088XT speed mod?

Just got an A2088XT from a local friend, works fine in my A3000.

However, there is a strange mod on it. Check it out:

http://www.amigahellas.gr/modules/my...?lid=381&cid=4

There appears to be 2 crystals, maybe it has something to do with overclocking? Anyone have more info, and if it's usable?

I know there is an overclock mod on Aminet, but this is an old Faraday chip (non "A" version), so it shouldn't be easy to do?

Thanks!

I've run a bench program, and it seems the board is still running on it's default 4.77 Mhz.

Did you swap the strap position and test it again?

Did you notice the 3 pins in the leftmost of the "thingie"? The picture is not too zoomed, but I see a strap in pins 2-3. Try to move the strap to position 1-2.

Forget about it!

I've found the original in Aminet! Look for A2088 in the hacks section.

The mod on Aminet, really doesn't fully explain this particular one. (Or I didnt understood it well).

@wizard

If you figure a way to make it work, let me know. I'll try to short some of those pins and see if it makes a difference.
