Games from Whdownload.com

hi all

I need a bit of help. I read that you can download games from whdownload.com as they are "ready to use" so to say. But exactly how do i use them?

i have Wb 3.1 and whdload installed on my A1200. (I have also copied the necessary roms and rtb files to devs:kickstarts folder)
And then what do i do??
Do I download for example Oil Imperium from Whdownload.com and just copy it to the Amiga harddrive and off we go? Or do i also have to get the oil imperium installer from Whdload.de and run that before it works???

Yes. As long as WHDLoad is installed in your Amiga, then that's all you need.

Yes, download WHDLoad-package from www.whdload.de and install it. Then it's off for you to register it

horander, that's right, all you need to do is extract the folder onto your hard drive and play away! Remember to check the readme files for any extra keys or cheat modes for each game too.

One really useful way of playing WHDLoad games on an A1200 is to get a cheap PCMCIA-Compact Flash adapter, which plugs into the side of the A1200 and you can use cheap 1gb CF cards to transfer and store all your games from whdownload.

But as suggested already, you really should register WHDLoad, some games require it, and those WHDLoad developers deserve the support for all the amazing work they've done to get all these classic games running smoothly on modern Amiga hardware.
