how to save in hired guns?

how do you save in this game?there is no save option at the menu(only load),you cant save when you are playing.you can only save to the memory of the amiga,but i want to save to an floppy disk.
do anyone know how?

save states are your saviour....

With them you can save in ANY game

You can press Help during the game to get to an options menu. It's got an option to save to disk.

yeah,you are totaly right,but there is just one little problem,i play the game on the amiga,not on the winuae

Also ensure you are not using a cracked version of the game.. I'm sure it wasn't cracked properly and later it'll format your save disk

i have the original game.
but if i crack the game,will the crack then format my save disk?or what do you mean?

can i just insert a blank disk and let the game format that blank disk to a save disk,or do i have to use programs like workbench and format the disk and then save?

The game will check to see if the disk is a Hired Guns save disk. If not, then it will give you the option to format it.

ok,im at the save/load option now,i have inserted a disk that i want to be formated,i press the format disk key,it loads for a while and then this message pops up "disk error,there is a problem with the disk in the internal drive,general read/write error".
i have tried with 2 blank disk now and 1 disk which i had some files on,and the same message pops up.
what to do?

EDIT: and yes,they where write-enabled all of them

Your disk drive may be broken. Possibly only affecting the very last track on the disk.

Or those 15 year old floppy disks you are using may be past the age of retirement.

The game saving works perfectly for me.
Which is a good thing since Hired Guns is the #2 best game ever made for the Amiga!

the problem is solved.
i tried with 7 other blank disks and the same message poped up,but on the 7:th disk it formated and i got to the "save slot" meny,i choosed a slot to save to and pressed save,en error message poped up again,i pressed the save button 3 more times and the error message poped up each time,but then it started to save on the 4:th try.
now i have saved a couple of times and only 1 out of 5 tries the error message apeared.

This game runs much nicer when installed to a hard disk.

Though on floppy, it does a good job of telling you what disk is coming next!
