how joy2key2 works?

I need to use joy2key2 to remap "return" and "esc" key to cd32 joypad, but don't know how joy2key2 works.
I see that it use configuration file with a code for keys to associate to joypad buttons: is there a "legend" for keycodes?

Thanks in advance.
