Hmm, guess I'll just have to wait for a cheap one to come up somewhere!
I'm going on holiday (again) so I won't be back here for a few days. |

Right, I was away for a bit longer then expected, but I'm back!
I've got my PCMCIA CF reader running with my 1gb CF card now too! All I can think of doing to the Amiga now is getting more ram for it, I really need it. I've got about 500 to 600k of free ram on boot. |

Just out of curiousity, but youre not running in 256 colors by chance are you? 5-600KB free sounds a bit less than I'd expect.

I'm running in 8 colours. Most of the add-on of ClassicWB are disabled too.

ClassicWB isn't really suitable for an A1200 without a memory upgrade. I'd go plain WB3.1 as long as you only have 2MB.
I did see an Mtec 4MB upgrade on Amibay the other day for I think it was £20, which is probably as cheap as you'll find a mem upgrade. That particular one is sold now, but they do show up quite often. |

Okay, I'll just get 3.1. Should I re-install PFS or should I stick with FFS or SFS? I didn't notice much of a speed difference between FFS and PFS.

I think you could stay with PFS, just set buffers to a low value so you don't lose too much memory.

I think I'll stick with ClassicWB for now, as I have barely any time for the Amiga at the moment. And by the time I can sit down for a few hours and use it, I'll probably have a ram expansion or an acclerator. Turns out some guy called Rob in Auckland (the city where I live) used to work at Commodore and he's got tons of Amiga stuff. I'm going to get on contact with him.
