copying to amiga

hey

im using floppies to transfer stuff to my amiga since i couldnt get the parallel working..

When i copy them, the folder and the .info, they dont show up by clicking on the disk in workbench, they only show in the shell as .INF

am i missing something?? Im trying to install the fat95 fs

I cant even transfer just the .lha, that also shows up as blank

cheers for help

CrossDOS (at least the version you have) doesn't support long names just that 8.3 nonsense so instead of .info you get .INF. Changing to fat95 won't solve the problem since you formatted the disk on the Amiga (PC0) and you're stuck with the earlier version of FAT (so just 8.3 names).

When you open the disk's window select "All files" from the menu (Window>Show>All files).

And get this file from Aminet. Self extracting lha file. Will come in handy
