For Gotek users who only have one drive...

I've also created another .ADF version that:

a) Supports either one or two disk drives.
b) Works on an A500 or A1200.
c) Unfortunately due to the size of all files (trust me I tried loads of compressors / crunchers / packers), everything needs to be extracted to RAM.

This means that you need 2MB Chip & 1MB Slow (or 1MB Fast).

Grab it from here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/p324sn

Hi D,

Thanks for this (& thanks Amigajay)

Just tried your version in WinUAE, default A1200 and it actually worked with 1 disk drive and 2mb Chip.

Damn

I was always testing with both drives enabled using either:

a) an A500 2MB Chip RAM configuration.
b) an A1200 2MB Chip RAM configuration.

...it wouldn't load "Lemmings" unless I added some extra Slow or Fast RAM.

I knew it was close; I guess the extra drive pushed it over the edge

Anyway, good to know. Cheers for the further testing my friend

...would be cool though if someone with real hardware tested also just to make sure

Hmmm, this was a bit "hit and miss" for me via WinUAE... it would only work 50% of the time with a standard A1200 configuration...

Anyway, have been playing around this morning and made a few optimisations to gain more free RAM

So, this new set (which is really for Gotek / HxC users) will now definitely work 100% with:

a) An A500 or A1200 with 2MB Chip RAM.
b) Supports either one or two disk drives.

Grab the new set from here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/hcyych

It might also be because I don't use the GUI. Boot straight to A1200 setup & add the disks by dragon drops

Thanks but any chance you could upload it somewhere less spam-tastic? I can't even find the download link!

What? It's a big "DOWNLOAD NOW" button there.

Nice surprise, AmigaJay. Will try it the next days.

Hi Amigajay,

Just thought I'd comment on the SAM Coupé pages of your book download which I'm having a look through this evening.

"Control is via the keyboard, but the cursor movement, like the scrolling is a little slow"

The SAM version does support a mouse if one is plugged in and cursor control via the mouse is perfectly smooth as you would expect.

"Sam Coupe"

Being pedantic, it should be SAM Coupé

Regards,

Colin

Had a quick bash. As others have said it's quite difficult, couldn't get past level 2 in Fun

...mind you I'm no Lemmings expert

Great to see new Lemming levels. This must have been a lot of work and I didn't even know there weren't any new levels made in the past 20 years. So this is both prestigious and historical. Cheers and well done. But I also find it quite difficult. I'm also stuck at level 2 in Fun. Well I had all ladders set up but then time ran out. So I won't mind a trainer.

Btw. despite my name I'm not a hardcore Lemmings fan or anything, I just have fond memories of those little blue buggers.

Thanks for this release!

I just tried it on my CD32 (with mouse). The early levels are indeed hard, I finally managed to reach level 5! I hope there are some easier levels ahead... But it is indeed great to have levels that I had not seen before!

Yeah took some work figuring it out first off, but the main bulk of the levels (80) were ready to go, so they were mostly done in a couple of weekends, it was the 40 duplicate levels that took the time, finding where they were, what original names they had and cross referencing them, then giving a new name and working out another back route for each level and giving different skills to the other level, then changing and testing each level to make sure it was doable! On average 30 mins per level x40 , so yeah time consuming!

If anyone wants to make a crack, trainer for it that would be cool.

Yeah as I said above the levels are mixed in difficulty, my levels I tried to keep in some order in that regard.
So yes there are easier levels to come! I'm glad you got past the first few levels!
