What filesystem is your CD?
Maybe set up your cd-rom under shapeshifter -uaescsi.device for WinUae - Copy the file across directly under emulation. |

I think you're going to have to install CrossMAC in order to see resource files on any Macintosh media in AmigaDOS and copy files between Macintosh media/partitions. |

...and CrossMAC can do this too, both from an AmigaDOS command line and in Workbench. |

Thanks guys for help, but I have one request...can somebody upload Fusion 3.3 in The Zone! ? I can't find it...
And other problem: I'm using Shapeshifter 3.11 With MacOS 7.6.1 under WinUAE (Picasso96/OS 3.9). After MacOS booting everything looks good. But when I want to play X-Wing, I see only black screen but intro is playing (I hear music and effects). I've pressed ESC during intro, choose options "about X-Wing" and I see this: Uploaded with ImageShack.us What I'm doing wrong? --EDIT-- I know now! I've used 800x600 Resolution for AmigaOS, and the same resolution was set under MacOS. But X-Wing requires only 640x480. I'v set this resolution under AmigaOS and everything works perfect now! That's what all Macintosh hdfs will do in Macintosh emulation if they're bootable.
Or are you talking about an Amiga-formatted hdf for use with WinUAE which runs the Macintosh emulation directly on bootup which then boots into Mac OS? Yes, I'm sure that's quite possible too. |

If anyone would like to try Shapeshifter on their Amiga, I have gone to the effort of mounting and installing all the disk images for OS 7.6 as well as the 7.6.1 updates and all the other updates available, including the later Appearance Manager extension which makes OS7 look like OS8. These are all official Apple updates and are freely available on their site, along with the disk images for the OS, but I have installed it all and packaged the harddrive file for anyone else to try.
http://home.exetel.com.au/~amiga/MacOS7.6.1.zip (This and an additional "MacGames" HardDriveFile are both on the EAB FileServer, so it's best to get them from there) All you need to run it on a sufficiently expanded 020-060 Amiga are: ShapeShifter 3.11 - http://aminet.net/package/misc/emu/ShapeShifter MuEVD - http://aminet.net/package/misc/emu/MuEVD MuFastZero - http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/MuFastZero VirtualLink - http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/vlink Here are the recommended ROM and OS for each CPU type: Best ROM Images 68000: Mac Se 68020: Mac LC 68030: Mac LC III 68040: Quadra 650 68060: Quadra 650 Best OS Versions 68000: 6.0.8 68020: 7.1.1 68030: 7.6.1 68040: 8.1 68060: 8.1 This forum has further help with Mac ROMs - http://nbbemulation.free.fr/forum_ma...opic.php?id=69 Just rename the ROM file to Shapeshifter.ROM and copy it to the Shapeshifter drawer. There is another Shapeshifter hardfile on the EAB fileserver that I have installed a bunch of Mac games on, so you can mount that as your second drive and play a bunch of games. I'm in the process of writing a guide on installing and using Shapeshifter on the Amiga too, so when that's done I'll paste it here or wherever the most current Shapeshifter thread is. Remember: You can play games like Warcraft II, Links Pro Golf, Settlers II, Prince of Persia II and other cool games and sequels that weren't released on the Amiga, all in 640x480 in 256 colours! With the AMAZING MuEVD video driver, these games are totally playable on a 030 AGA machine. This was more of a general message for any Amiga users wanting to try MacOS on their Amiga, rather than a specific reply to anyone in particular. Last edited by Cammy; 04 December 2010 at 00:34. |

If your A4000 has a 040 or 060 and a graphics card, it would run those games at the same speed or faster than they'd run on a real Mac. With AGA they will be a little slower, but they should still run on a 040. Duke3D is too slow on the 030.

Hi,
I would like to know if someone have made a video showing mac browser's under emulation ? Are they better than ibrowse ? faster ? slower ? how is CSS with icab ? Is it just for fun or gaming ? Thanks. |

CSS in iCab is pretty poor, and almost nearly useless. It's very slow, and the pages are still laid out all wrong. I just stick with IBrowse, it's much faster.
Using MacOS for me is just for the games. |

Vlink works for having the mac share the amiga connection, Set it up as Amiga<->Mac connection in MiamiDX (amiga acts as the gateway)
