Enjoying having my BBS back online on top of ClassicWB AGA! I may have to give the 3.9 version a try if you can make it simple enough for me! I have had this stupid 3.9 CD for years and have never used it.
Thanks again! You get double kudos! I posted last Fall, totally forgot! Last edited by illy5603; 18 August 2009 at 09:45. |

ClassicWB is awesome! It's the best classic Amiga feeling WB setup out there, with much higher compatability than the "other" pre-configured WBs out there.

Kyon, yes the next version will have WHDLoad 16.9. It's easy to update yourself however - just copy the relevant files from the 16.9 archive to the C drawer.
radon_22, thanks for the comment. |

I really, really like it. I haven't got it on my real Amiga yet, but I've been installing games onto the virtual image and the look and feel is almost perfect.
One small question though: How would I get it to save my preferences for a drawer? For example, if in a certain draw I tell it to display only icons, next time I view it, it's back to displaying all files. |

Either use the icon update utility to give the drawer an icon (the .info files you see in dopus) or if it already has an icon, select the window right click and select "Window->Snapshot->All." |

Well, it's actually the root of a (virtual) drive... I've set it to a directory, and it takes ages to load since it's got loads of files in it.

I'm waiting for some info from KillerGorilla about KGLoad, and also version 1.6 of iGame, although I do have a beta iGame with a bug fixed so that's not essential.
I'm also looking at getting an E-UAE version on the go as well for Mac and Linux users (using the ClassicWB UAE setup). If it looks like I can't get these things resolved before xmas, then I might have to decide to release anyway. |

Kyon, as you are already aware, I did decide to do a release without a new and finished KGLoad or iGame v1.6
Also released ClassicWB OS39 to the public, as I'm tired of getting pm's requesting it! Not updated some EAB threads yet, but the webpage is updated, new tutorial vids added to reflect changes to the packs (like improved assign and multi-partition support) and the Large Hard Drive thread completely re-written. I'll list the changes in the other threads once I get some time. |
