A4000D in Mirage Pro Tower =D

Sorry guys I forgot to share this project here, I started a little while ago.

I got my hands on an Elbox Mirage Pro at a decent price which I've been waiting for ages to get! I just couldn't pay the £500 ish that Elbox charge for this setup so I'm glad I've found a nice used setup which I bought and partially traded some Amiga items towards.

So here she is:

Here's the case, pretty much like new:

Not the prettiest of chassis I know, but much easier to work on than an A4000T which is what this will eventually replace (well one of them)

And some goodies to go inside:

Just like the old Pwer Tower there is a removable side tray you mount the Motherboard on:

I'm using a RevD Motherboard in this project, this one has the built in EC030 which is pretty handy if you don't have your accelerator to hand, or if it's away being repaired.

The Mediator Busboard is mounted on top, it has 5 PCI and 6 Zorro Slots, oh and a Video slot too...

And mounted in the Tower:

350w PSU fitted as I plan to fill this case up

Some PCI Cards going in!

And hopefully a couple of Zorro Cards too!

Cards seem to fit pretty well inside, plenty of space and room for air flow:

As it happens, I think you need an MMU for the Mediator to work, I couldn't get it booting with the Mediator Driver so I had to borrow a Turbo Board from another Amiga, just until my CSPPC comes back - then we really have some fun!

After a little messing around, everything except USB is working, I'll have to read through some threads to find out what I'm doing wrong...

To be continued...

*This update was from 13th January 2012*

Hikey is officially a Legend, got my CSPPC back today and it's working perfect

I've installed it in the A4000D and she booted first time & seems 100% stable.

First PPC app tests worked perfect so I installed Warp3D and configured, QuakeII runs great.

And just tested Wipeout2097 which is nice and smooth too!

Thanks so much Hikey

*This update was from 14th January 2012*

I've installed my CyberVisionPPC, I had to borro the Deneb from my A4000T as the rommable modules I need for this setup are all in the Deneb

Anyway, pleased to say she booted first time, no issues

Time to find out if you can used PCI Sound/Network with the CVision...

Update from January 18th 2012

A few new pics taken today, I've swapped the ribbon cabled for something a little more up to date, need to re-route them when I have some more time.

Oh also added a DKB3128 & 128mb ZorRam lol, I know who needs almost 400mb Ram in a Classic Amiga

Still, fun though!

Very nice setup there, you're making me envious!

I'm trying hard to expand my only A4000 while you have like 3 almost-fully upgraded A4000 setups.

Update from January 18th 2012

Got a small update for ya'll, I've mounted some bits in the case a bit better, the CF-IDE is mounted at the back now and I've installed ny CDRW with internal Card Reader.

Dual booting is all working perfect and it's all rebootless since I keep the BB2 modules in the Deneb

Cables are a bit messy, that needs a tidy up before I close the case....

This is CWB3.9 with CGX4 & Kens Icons/AfA_OS running of the CyberVisionPPC, booting off the SCSI:

And if I plug the CF card in it boots up CWB3.9 with Picasso96 using the MediatorPCI/Voodoo 3

I'm using registerd 060 HSMath Libs and WarpDT which I also licenced, this machine runs like sh*t off a shovel
