I never said it was against the rules to list them. Just that they are on the list for some reason that you're working on.

I thought somewhere I've read that if you're not active in FTP since 7 days your account will be closed.

Heya,

Been on vacation for a little while. I'll look into it. I had a quick look in the logs but found no explanation for why they were disabled. There is indeed no deletion for being inactive.

It might be the script that checks if you've been logged in at least once in 7 days on creation of the account that messed up somehow, but I'll have a closer look.

Edit: Yes, its that script that deleted all of them. According to it, they never logged in and after 7 days of creation, they were deleted.

eabadduser = user that adds the user when added through the webpage.
turranius = the user that does the deleting in the "never logged in" script, 7 days after creation.

not working for me.. i get a popup saying restricted to 20logins.. i'm using my webbrowser.. which should only be using 1 and maybe another 1 if i download whilst viewing. ??
only happened started after i downloaded AUI cd 1

This is normal
The maximum limit of 20 simultaneous login is reached

You can do two things:

1) Try later
2) Create a personal "download account" with no restrictions

fixed my issue.. i downloaded filezilla.. i'll use that when i want to download anything.. which i dont think i will be..
its just that i've lost some dvd's that i burned with my amiga cd iso's that i had uploaded a few years ago now.. had to make some room.. vanished and not just the dvd's but the entire dvd case.. ironically i burned them in case my hdd failed..
at least 4 of the dvds where amiga related.. out of the 30 i think dvd's the case could hold 40.

It really doesn't matter if you use a web browser or FTP client to access the server when using an anonymous account... you'll still have the same restrictions as listed in the post #1

You say using FileZilla fixed your issue... no, it's just there's not 20 anonymous account currently connected...

You should really create your own account, even if just for the download speed not being capped to 50kb/sec max, but if can't be bothered then it's totally up to you

Didnt know where to post this, so if someone could put it in the right place.

The file The Essential Amiga CD (23-03-98)(BBS).rar on the server although complete the extracted ISO file is fine, the data on the cd is not..
Every archive in the utilities/archivers folder corrupt. as in even though they are different sizes they are all blank.. every file just contains 00.
I thought originally it was just the copy i burned to dvd and copied back, so i decided last night to redownload the rar file.. and today i opened it, ultraiso, extracted the contents of that folder and examined each file in that folder.
Just wondering how many other files on the cd are fake.
Almost i mounted the iso using alcohol 120% and looking at the files via that. same thing.

Tried it locally on the server.

7z just shows one or two files in it.

So yeah, seems .. corrupt =/

I tested some random isos in the same folder and they all seems correct.

Edit: seems to be an old issue that was never taken care of.

I moved the confirmed broken files to \Commodore_Amiga\CD\AmigaCD\Broken_Files and will remove them if nobody wants to take a look at them,

"Scene Storm Volume 1 (1996)(Active Software)[!].rar" and "LSD Compendium Deluxe Vol 3 (1995)(17 Bit Software).rar" has a .zip file as well that seems to work well so no issue there.

Regarding

Gateway! v3 (Schatztruhe-GTI)(1998)(2 CDs).rar
it seems that only disk 1 is obviously corrupt. But we also have on the FTP
Gateway! Volume 3 (1998)(GTI - Schatztruhe)(Disc 1 of 2)[Install].zip

So might be able to save that using CD2 from the corrupt package and the other (Disc 1 of 2) package. But CD2 from Gateway! v3 (Schatztruhe-GTI)(1998)(2 CDs).rar only contains one big file and I'm not sure if thats corrupt or supposed to look like that... Need someone to verify.

I don't think 7zip is sufficient to tell that a CD is broken

Sometimes it fails even if the CD is good

For example two of the CD moved in the broken folder seems correct on my HD (Scenestorm and Compendium Deluxe 3)

Also Essential CD seems ONLY partially broken (just one folder it seems)

Indeed i used another ISO program to extract some ISOs
