Making bootmenu driven ADF's
Here's what i want to accomplish:
I've downloaded some demos from the internet, and these demos are just one filed amiga executables (not adf's) Something like this (shown here as a example): demoname1.lha contains 1 file "demo1" sized 150K demoname2.lha contains 1 file "demo2" sized 200K demoname3.lha contains 1 file "demo3" sized 220K demoname4.lha contains 1 file "demo4" sized 165K What do i need to put into the adf, to make it bootable and load a text menu to choose the demo to be loaded? Making a compilation disk of my own so to speak.. Can you give me a few pointers on what configs i need to do on /s/startup-sequence, do i really need whole directories from WB-disks? (C,L,Libs etc.)??? For the sake of argument, let's suppose i'm using ADFOpus.. Step-by-step example of the procedure would be a gem.. Big Thanks already in advance for any information.. |

Ahhh .. good old days... this was the only thing I really ever bothered with..unfortunatly the memory is weak ...
I do remember that I created a copiable workbench test disk (with workbench on it) to create diffrent system-configuration files (changes colours/pointers/keymaps etc)....but its a long winded process! honestly your best bet is to take some example adfs from elsewhere and edit the text sequence files yourself save you a lot of time...and what better way to plug my site again There is a demo section on my site with adfs with menus & demos for very old crack intros & demos maybe you can use them http://www.ozkan.co.uk/amiga/adfmenu.html also look at the games compliations to find other menu system i did !.... @ the rest: BTW how do I enter this lot into tosec or whatever? |

Y oucould try one of those programs that make a menu for you automatically, like the ones that used to come inside Amiga Power mags.

these were named like "demo.exe" and LHA'd archives, which i decompressed.. and contained just "demo"-file.. anyhow they run nicely with WinUAE 0.8.21 R4, but i would like to put them on a more suitable format for emulating... Akira: Could you tell me a name of such program? |
