Monkey Island 2 Cryengine

Looks pretty cool -

Also, here's a comment from a Telltale guy (I posted the video in their forums, too) -

The guy who puts this stuff together is a cool guy. He's working at Crytek on one of their upcoming projects, and does all this Monkey 2 stuff to screw around. It looks great.

Yes, I don't like it very much. I mean I guess it's decent but it's not really for me.

Well, I think it looks a bit cheap. I understand they built it on top of the old game, and it shows... the animation looks 'stiff'.
I also hate the new Guybrush design, and you can't skip dialogue.
And some of the voices are horrible (but many are pretty good as well, though).

Woah! Very nice little 'mod'
Thanks for sharing it laffer

Edit : Also not too impressed with the 'special edition'. It's nice to have speech, but the characters look really odd.

don't see it so black and white. It looks *seriously* cool for a tech demo! The atmosphere is spot on.

^ What gimbal said I don't compare it to Monkey Island in terms of a 'game', but I really like how they captured the atmosphere of the game in that 3D environment.

WOW that looks impressive! Monkey Island 2 in first person would be pretty cool if it ended up looking like this

nice

I like the Monkey Island SE, the price isn't high, so worth buying, and then it might introduce young players to a good old gaming genre
I bought it just to play the game once again, on another platform (xbox)

ok I guess, but i'm kind of reminded of Monkey Island 4, which was crap.

"impressive" 3D landscapes i'm afraid really dont impress me that much anymore, because they are so common.

Grim Fandango is a great game and a sequel would have been nice... but Monkey Island 4 was my least favourite of the bunch! Monkey 2 will always be my personal favourite

Grim Fandango is a good game, but Monkey Island 4 isn't that brilliant compared to the other 3. Again it's not a bad game, but it doesn't keep up with the others.
Oh and I wouldn't mind MI5 with that graphics...

What about MI Online a big Monkey Island pirate online game, where we can walk around "sword" fighting

Nah, I want a real MI again Not sure if there's a big market for 'insulting others in a caribbean 3D environment' anyway
