Hmm.. Does not sound like a good choice, it has PCM audio playback support but does it really have full AHI driver?

There really aren't "good" options because better ones have programmable DSP which I am not going to emulate.. Complete driver support is also requirement, not just some device that looks nice but no one has ever used..

EDIT: Also clock port is stupid interface.
Prisma megamix probably would be good choice but not until full specs are available.

Prisma Megamix are ok, have a mp3 hardware decoder, i dont' see in the amiga.resource.cx.

It possible use in A1200. 2000, A3000, A4000, A4000T....are more universal.

I not search necessarily audio card, but a hardware docoder for mp3 audio on amiga 1200.

Thansk.

Instead of emulating a real hardware, maybe it's better to emulate a virtual device, like UAEGFX? AFAIK there are two options for the APIs:

- MHI: http://aminet.net/package/mus/play/mhi_dev
- mpeg.device: http://www.katodev.de/katodev/down/melodydev.lha

It has existed few years already but writing driver is painful. For example AHI does not have any good examples for driver that does everything in hardware, full DMA and hardware mixing.

Not AHI - MHI. This is API strictly for things like MP3 playback.

For mp3 playback I won't make any kind of UAE board. There is already good enough real board to emulate. It is much easier to emulate hardware than write drivers.

I also remember that MHI had some other issues.

Only special case is AHI compatible device that has full DMA, multiple channels and hardware mixing because good enough real hardware does not exist.
