Cheers

Screws are most likely under the glide pads. Pry them up gently so they can be put back.

If you would like to try, There was a document on Aminet that described how to re-wire a regular pc mouse for use in the Amiga. I know it works because at the time, I got a pc 3 button mouse rewired and it worked. Still have it.

On a related note:

I have a tank mouse where left button only works 1 out 50 click or so, I imagine it has to be the right angle. I've opened it but can't see any obvious error. I wonder if it's fixable? Or how to trouble shoot.

Just replace the switch with a new surface mount switch.

You can run a finger across the glide pads and the sticker while pressing down to feel where there is a small dip which is where the screw is located.
