Beta 2: Mostly pointless SCSI stuff here but at least I learned a lot about low level SCSI protocols

- A3000 KS "1.4" added to ROM list (yes, it is beta but it came with some A3000s) Need confirmed official A3000 and A4000(T) information before more A3000/A4000(T) ROMs will be added. (Note A3000 ROMs, not SuperKickstart images!)
Toni--

What type of confirmation are you looking for? I have A3000D's with 1.4b, 1.3, 2.0x and 3.1 ROMS installed. I'd be happy to do some checking.

Do you mean you have ROM chips, not images (just confirming, I don't accept images because they can be modified too easily)

CRC32 (or MD5 or SHA1 etc..) is good enough for identification + possible markings on top of chip (like Commodore product number etc..)

@ Toni

Do you need me to scan in the 40.70 ROM from the A4000T (or is it other versions)? I can do it in a couple of days when I get back to home.

Yes, ROM chips. I have an A3000D at the flat and 3 others in storage. I will look into the one I have access to after work.
I know one has the Kick ROM (Alpha) that accessed the HD for 1.3 or 2.x, one with 2.x and one with 3.1. I'm not sure which Kick the last machine has.
I also have my original A3000 Kickstart Diskettes.

A3000D Alpha Kick ROM

Toni -

So is the plan to make WinUAE hardware profiles so compatible that I can boot my Alpha KS ROM and use my Kickstart Menu?

Pretty please with sugar on top?

Do you mean the "1.3 / 2.x" boot menu? At least "1.4" ROM boot menu appears when pressing both mouse buttons under emulation (needs 68030 CPU + A3000 chipset extra, any other CPU will only crash with yellow screen)

Thanks to instruction by Toni -

I've been able to dump one of my A3000D Kickstarts. This is the second unit i have that performs in this fashion, it checks the HD for it's 1.3 or 2.x Kickstart ROMs. Aparently they aren't as rare as it seems; though this is the 1st time I've seen exec v36.84 (7.3.90) from EEPROM.
I thought someone would enjoy seeing an A3000D perform in a way they haven't seen berfore May 2007.

Have a look at the gallery I've posted on one of my sites.

Cool, same CRC as the dump that's rotting on my hard disk for ages now. Guess I can finally add it to the TOSEC dat.

@WindowsKiller That's the one merged from Amiga 3000 Boot-ROM v1.4 r36.16 (1990)(Commodore)(A3000)[!][ROM0].rom and Amiga 3000 Boot-ROM v1.4 r36.16 (1990)(Commodore)(A3000)[!][ROM1].rom. So these should be renamed to r36.84. Will other roms be included too like the A590/2091 one that WinUAE supports now?

No, because 36.84 is the exec version, which is not the same as the Kickstart revision. I don't have the A590/2091 roms yet, but there are tons of other files on my hard disk that will be added.
